Two Post Conference Excursions are planned. The first is a four-day trip to the Alps (Saturday, August 12, 2006 – Tuesday, Augst 15, 2006), including a ride to Europe's highest train station at the famous Jungfraujoch. The second is a one-day trip to distal Ries impact ejecta near St. Gallen, including a visit of the abbey district in St. Gallen (Saturday, August 12, 2006). Preliminary programs, price estimates and further information are given on separate pages (Excursions to the Alps, Excursion to distal Ries impact). Note that for both excursions the number of participants is limited and places will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. Because the trips might become overbooked, we recommend early reservation. Reservations can be made upon preregistration. If a tour should be overbooked by the time of the abstract deadline (May 9, 2006), lucky participants will be informed on May 15. Payment will then be required by May 31 through this webpage. If places should remain available beyond this date, participants will be informed later about payment modalities. For reasons of fairness, we urge participants to make reservations only if they firmly plan to attend the tour.
